About this frame

The Edan makes a statement. Hand-made from thick-gauge iron, its flat-topped frame is lined with slim spindles, each crowned by a solid-cast fleur-de-lis and echoed by a centred crest and rounded ball finials. Turned posts and neat cast feet finish a traditional silhouette. Sprung timber slats and two adjustable heights keep all that romance genuinely practical, night after night.

A fleur-de-lis on every spindle

Plenty of iron beds settle for plain, straight bars. The Edan doesn't. Every slender spindle across the head and foot is topped with a fleur-de-lis floret, cast in solid metal rather than pressed from thin sheet — so each one carries real depth and weight rather than a flat stamped outline. A matching crest sits centred on both rails, and a second row of small cast knobs runs the width of the footboard. It's fine, deliberate ornament that reads as handmade the moment you look closely.

Crisp Detailed Finish

Every frame is made from thick-gauge steel, traditionally cast and welded the way iron beds were built to last — solid where cheap frames are thin, and finished by hand rather than pressed on a line. It's the difference between a bed you replace and one you keep for decades.

Simple, Solid Support

A slat base with nothing to wear out. Each frame comes with individual solid slats that drop straight into their own slots — no tools, no tension springs, nothing to crack or sag over time. It's support built the same way as the frame: simple, sturdy, and made to hold for decades.

Trusted since 1968

A cast iron bed is a decades-long decision — and so is the company you buy it from. We've been in the same family for over fifty years: long enough to watch trends come and go, and stubborn enough to keep building beds the way that lasts. When a bed is meant to outlive the room around it, it matters who stands behind it.
