About this frame

 

Clareville's softly arched headboard and lower footboard carry gently swept rails, slim spindles, openwork rings and cast foliate florets, with turned posts finished in rounded brass finials and a curved stretcher rail trimmed in cast leaves. Every floret and finial is cast in solid metal, not stamped from thin sheet — hand-made from thick-gauge iron, built to anchor a room for decades.

 

Openwork, not plain bars

The Clareville earns a closer look. Between its slender spindles sit cast openwork rings and small foliate florets, each shaped in solid metal rather than pressed from thin sheet. It reads as quietly ornate from across the room and rewards you up close, where the depth of the casting shows. The same motifs carry down to the curved stretcher rail at the foot, edged with a run of cast leaves. Hand-finishing like this is what gives a traditional iron frame its character — and why the Clareville feels made, not manufactured.
