About this frame

Some beds hold a mattress; the Chatsbury holds a room together. Its headboard is defined by twin softly bowed rails sweeping up to rounded finials on turned posts, with slim spindles broken by rows of cast florets and a lower footboard echoing the same graceful line. Hand-made from thick-gauge iron with detailing cast in solid metal, it runs on single-length side rails and sprung timber slats — heirloom character, quietly built to last.

Where most iron beds run dead straight across the top, the Chatsbury bows. Two shallow rails sweep up from the centre to rounded finials on each post, giving the headboard a gentle, almost cradling curve that quietly softens the whole frame. It's a detail that reads as understated and romantic from across the room, and beautifully considered up close, where you can see the smooth hand-shaped line of the iron. Paired with the rows of cast florets tracing the spindles, it lifts a simple metal bed into something with real character. The same sweep is echoed — lower and wider — across the footboard, so the elegance carries the full length of the bed.
