About this frame

Bradvale adds a decorative flourish to the classic brass bed. Beneath the top rail of both head and foot runs a delicate frieze of cast crown-and-scroll motifs, set above slim brass spindles and framed by turned posts with rounded ball finials. Every finial and motif is cast in solid brass and finished by hand, for a warm, lustrous glow that deepens with age. A little more regal than most — refined, elegant and built to last.

A cast brass frieze, up top

The detail that gives Bradvale its character sits just beneath the top rail: a repeating frieze of little cast crown-and-scroll motifs, running across both head and foot like fine cornicing on a period ceiling. Each is cast in solid brass and finished by hand — a decorative flourish the plainer brass beds don't have, and one that gives Bradvale a gently regal presence without tipping into fuss. It's the kind of considered detail that reads as quietly expensive, and looks even better up close.

Crisp Detailed Finish

Every frame is made from thick-gauge steel, traditionally cast and welded the way iron beds were built to last — solid where cheap frames are thin, and finished by hand rather than pressed on a line. It's the difference between a bed you replace and one you keep for decades.

Simple, Solid Support

A slat base with nothing to wear out. Each frame comes with individual solid slats that drop straight into their own slots — no tools, no tension springs, nothing to crack or sag over time. It's support built the same way as the frame: simple, sturdy, and made to hold for decades.

Trusted since 1968

A cast iron bed is a decades-long decision — and so is the company you buy it from. We've been in the same family for over fifty years: long enough to watch trends come and go, and stubborn enough to keep building beds the way that lasts. When a bed is meant to outlive the room around it, it matters who stands behind it.
