About this frame

Some frames announce themselves; the Braden simply belongs. Its headboard rises to a generously radiused top rail that curves down into turned posts, with slender spindles and softly cast joins marking an even, rhythmic line. The lower footboard echoes it exactly, grounded by a stretcher rail and neat turned feet. Hand-made from thick-gauge iron and finished in a durable powder coat, it's a frame built to outlast trends.

This range of cast iron metal beds has been thoroughly tested and is equipped with fully cast and welded fittings for optimal strength.

Our preferred timber slat base is supplied with this bed.

The top rail is a single length of thick-gauge iron, bent by hand into a wide, softly squared arc that runs down into the posts without interruption. It's a deceptively difficult thing to do well — the radius has to be even on both sides, and there's nowhere to hide a flaw. That's why the frame reads as calm rather than plain: the eye follows one continuous curve instead of stopping at hardware. The footboard repeats it at a lower height, so the whole bed shares a single, quiet gesture from head to foot.
