About this frame

Some beds sit still; Ardno seems to move. Slim posts topped with delicate scrolled curls frame a softly arched headboard and a lower footboard drawn entirely from flowing, interlacing curves — sweeping iron arcs that overlap and unwind like ribbon. Hand-made from thick-gauge iron, welded and hand-shaped the traditional way — solid, quiet and built to last, with two adjustable heights and optional under-bed storage: a light, sculptural frame that feels like a work of art.

Every curve, shaped by hand

The magic of Ardno is in its ironwork. Rather than straight bars, its headboard and footboard are formed from sweeping curves that interlace and overlap — each one bent, shaped and welded by hand in the traditional way, meeting at a small cast detail where the lines cross. The effect is fluid and almost calligraphic: a frame that draws the eye and shifts as you move around it, light and open enough to let the room breathe behind it. It looks less like furniture and more like sculpture.

Crisp Detailed Finish

Every frame is made from thick-gauge steel, traditionally cast and welded the way iron beds were built to last — solid where cheap frames are thin, and finished by hand rather than pressed on a line. It's the difference between a bed you replace and one you keep for decades.

Simple, Solid Support

A slat base with nothing to wear out. Each frame comes with individual solid slats that drop straight into their own slots — no tools, no tension springs, nothing to crack or sag over time. It's support built the same way as the frame: simple, sturdy, and made to hold for decades.

Trusted since 1968

A cast iron bed is a decades-long decision — and so is the company you buy it from. We've been in the same family for over fifty years: long enough to watch trends come and go, and stubborn enough to keep building beds the way that lasts. When a bed is meant to outlive the room around it, it matters who stands behind it.
